Is there a book idea that keeps bubbling up in your head? Have you had the kind life that others can learn from? Maybe it is time for you to share your story in a book. As technology changes, the publishing industry has certainly come along for the ride! Traditional publishers have changed the way they do business and self publishing has become more and more popular.
But writing the book is just the tip of the iceberg. As a self-publisher, you will get more of the proceeds, but you will have to make all of the decisions. You will have to decide on the format, subject matter, layout, and font size – to name a few things. You can also expect the expenses to come out of your pocket.
When you self publish, you need to have a plan. You will have to develop your own marketing strategy and work aggressively to make a name for yourself as a first-time author.
